Lil B Throws Hat Into June 18th Ring, Releases ‘100% Gutta’ Mixtape

There is too much new music out today. With June 18th contenders J. Cole, Kanye West, Mac Miller and Statik Selektah finally putting out their new records—giving fans and critics a lot to talk about and discuss—Bay Area representer Lil B has decided to join the conversation. This morning, B unexpectedly threw his hat into the major release date ring with his new mixtape 100% Gutta.

In a private message from B himself about the mixtape, he said, "34 NEW SONGS!!!!!!!" Amen. Here, Lil Brandon is back after a few months of relative quiet with 34 lo-fi #based jams to get jiggy to all summer. Some of Gutta's clear standouts come in "Lifes Hard," a downtrodden but ultimately motivational song about struggle and success, and the extra-catchy "Twerk Like Miley." You can guess what that one's about.
