ItsTheReal Bum-Rush XXL’s Offices

Earlier today, we dropped the link to Jeff and Eric Rosenthal's new mixtape, Urbane Outfitters. The Rosenthal brothers, who collectively go by ItsTheReal, have become important figures in the hip-hop game in the past few years by way of their quirky interviews and short-form sketches that were once posted weekly on their Tumblr. Since the skit days, Jeff has gone on to write for Rolling Stone and the brothers have worked as reporters for MTV, and created their own Hype Men podcast. Let's just say the boys have been busy.

Adding to their already-packed schedule, they've decided to "break the fourth wall" of their experience with hip-hop, and made a mixtape on which they rap. Strictly explaining that they aren't taking this whole too seriously, they did manage to get some very serious features, including Bun B, Maino, Lil Jon, Freeway, Hannibal Burress, and mixtape host DJ Drama.

When the Rosenthals came by our office last week, they tried to peddle the new mixtape to some of our lovely staff members, but after failing to secure $10 for their work, decided to give it out for free and even sit down with us for an interview. Check it out above.
