DJ Khaled Speaks On Signing “Pop That” Producer Lee on the Beats

DJ Khaled is another hip-hop mogul in the game who plans to expand his evergrowing We The Best roster.

Just The Facts caught Khaled’s announcement of signing producer Lee on the Beats, who is best known for French Montana’s “Pop That.” During the interview, Khaled spoke about the first time he heard the “Pop That” beat, which influenced him to sign the young producer to his label.

“I found out Lee made the beat,” he said. “I know Lee’s people and also my partner, when it comes to Lee, representing We The Best, his name is Skaine. Skaine, I be knowing him for a long time—over 10 years. I found out they were family and the same time that they were representing them. They came to me and I came to them, we decided to make this a partnership and put him with that logo, We The Best.”

The tandem also spoke on the upcoming projects they’ll be working on. In the words of Khaled, they'll be making "a lot of number one records." Check out the full interview above.
