Michael K. Williams Unveils His Omar Little Playlist

Ten years after The Wire first aired, fans are still uncovering secrets about the critically-acclaimed HBO series. Earlier this week, Michael K. Williams, who portrayed stick-up kid Omar Little—arguably the show’s most beloved character—confessed that he was using cocaine and marijuana during most of his tenure on the show. But drugs aren’t the only thing that helped Williams get in his zone. Music played a part as well. “Music is always a part of my characters’ make-up,” Williams told New York Magazine. “All my characters have playlists.” You’ll never guess what songs made the cut. By the looks of it, Williams favors Nas, Lauryn Hill, 2Pac, Biggie and Jay-Z. See below. —Carl Chery (@cchery)
