Kat Stacks' Mother Writes Open Letter to Fans Asking For Help
Kat Stacks has been a much-talked-about subject few years back, mostly thanks to her scandalous YouTube and Twitter confessions of sleeping with various rappers (Bow Wow; Nelly; Soulja Boy).<br /><br /> After a sudden epiphany and change of heart, Stacks decided to reevaluate her lifestyle, drop the pseudonym "Kat Stacks" and go by her birth name, Andrea Herrera. But things started to fall apart for her, when the government took notice of her immigration status, and decided to deport her (mostly for her entertainment videos). Currently, under immigration custody since November 5, 2010, with charges of illegal immigration and prostitution in Louisiana, Stacks reached out to <em>XXL</em> via Twitter to voice her thoughts. In addition, today <em>XXL</em> received a heartfelt letter from Ms. Herrera’s mother, Johnyelsi Cardenas (who's currently overseeing Ms. Herrera's two-year-old son), pleading justice for her daughter. After reading the letter, <em>XXL</em> has pinpointed its 15 most shocking points. —Compiled by <em>Cam Dooley</em> (<a href="http://twitter.com/TribeCalledCam">@TribeCalledCam</a>)

“Andrea was 14 years old when she met Prince (he's a [p]imp). His real name is Taryck Lynch. She says that she has [talked with him for several days], and invited him to the house (at that time I was a single mother). When I met him [we] changed a few words, short conversation; he stayed a while longer and left. I did not like him. I asked my daughter ‘how old is he?’ She replied, ‘I'm not sure. 17 years old.’ I said ‘I think he is 20 or 21 years. [He] does not seen many years apart, his expectations are completely different from yours, [he] also is illegal.’ She told me ‘do not worry mommy, [I will] not see him again.’ I believed [her]. [I was] thinking why a man of his age was interested in my daughter, she's 14 years old. (I felt a shock in the stomach as if it had been in the presence of something evil).”

“When she turned 15 years old, one night around 8pm, [I] let her watch TV with my mother (her grandmother). I went out [and] when I [returned] at 11pm, Andrea was not in her room anywhere in the townhouse. I woke up my mother [and] asked ‘where is Andrea?’ she replied ‘she's sleeping in her room.’ I said, ‘no, she is not and either [are] her clothes.’ Andrea had left home.”

“2 weeks went by without knowing anything about my daughter. The phone rang [and it] was Andrea (I thought, 'thank God she is alive'). She said, ‘mami I'm hungry mom.' (She was crying) [I haven't eaten in 2 days and] if I don't bring money home they will hit me’ and hung up.”

“[The police] asked if my daughter had access to the Internet. I told them ‘yes, she has a laptop.’ [They asked] ‘could you bring it?’ 30 minutes later I was back with Andrea's laptop. [5 minutes had not passed] when [they] showed us emails and photos of Prince.”

“The owner of the club was a woman. She said to Andrea ‘I’m happy to see you with your mom.' The Lady said Kat should go get Champagne [and] shots (I [thought I was in a] nightmare with my daughter). When we were alone [the owner] told me how she [cared] for Kat, [and] everybody [loved] Kat. [The owner said], ‘we tried to help her, she is not the only one in that situation, a lot young girls [have] daddies/ pimps.’ ([I was crying] like a baby) I couldn't believe this [happened] to my daughter, my baby. Andrea came back later, she said ‘mami, lets go to eat I’m hungry.’”

“[While we were] on the road, Andrea began to [cry], telling me that ‘men are sick, [and] they [do] not care to see that I [am] a child; [they abuse] me anyway’. Prince locked her in the closet for a week because she tried to [escape]. [He gave her] no food, no water, [and she was] unable to use the bathroom. [Prince] beat her with hangers, [and] once broke a bottle on her head because she [got] pregnant with his baby (Andrea was 17 years old). [Prince said] ‘hoe you think I'm going to have a child with you?’ [He] took her to a clinic for abortions. [Kat] worked from Monday to Sunday from seven PM until six AM, [and said] ‘he always find any excuses to hit me, he's a drunk.'”

“[In] 2009 Andrea was arrested [because of possession of] a firearm. When she came to the hotel room, [there were] undercover cops. She immediately said that Prince had placed the gun in her purse and he was downstairs waiting for her [in the] parking lot. When the cops went there, Prince was gone.”

“She was arrested in Broward County for two months. It was terrible for us and her; Andrea was two months pregnant. It's when she decided, for the sake of her baby and her, [to] break up the sick relationship with Prince. My husband and I visited her every Friday. When she came out of jail, we [helped] her start a new life. She [got] a sentence of probation for one year.”

“Andrea suffered postpartum depression, I think all those years she lived as *Kat*, [she] also [saw] herself with a baby (Prince). [It’s] very difficult to understand any human suffered so much; verbal, psychological, [and] physical abuse. We never talked about what happened or [attended] therapies. We see now that Andrea needed counseling. Thank God. She told me lately she wants to be [counseled], professional help.”
