With “The Hunger Games” hitting theatres all around the nation in less than 12 hours, fans have already begun camping outside of local movie theatres in anticipation of the film’s midnight premiere. Followers of the books and the upcoming movie have also proven to be fans of the music, as well, with “The Hunger Games” soundtrack heating up the iTunes and Amazon music charts since its release last Tuesday (March 20). What listeners may not have anticipated is the record, “The Ruler and the Killer,” that rapper-turned-rocker Kid Cudi wrote and produced for the soundtrack that falls right after Taylor Swift’s hit collab with The Civil Wars, “Safe and Sound,” on the track listing.
