There are few bigger clichés in hip-hop than “life’s a bitch.” Since NaS and AZ made the phrase legendary with their 1994 classic of the same name, MC’s have been trying to one-up each other by putting their own spin on the ubiquitous saying. Hate it or love it, the wise words have been flipped by hip-hop more times than a James Brown sample. After hearing the game’s newest wunderkind Tyler, the Creator add his own flair to the phrase on the intro of his new album Goblin, we got to thinking about our favorite lyrics calling out life for its bitchmade ways. Too little, too late.
