50 Cent has pulled the plug on his partnership with Sleek Audio and cancelled his “Sleek by 50” headphone line, which debuted in January, in favor of a new business.

The G-Unit general told XXLMag.com that he has “established a new company that is developing a complete line of audio accessories, including wireless headphones.”

On Friday (May 6), Sleek Audio announced via press release that it had terminated its relationship with 50 Cent’s G-Unit without citing a reason.

Today (May 9), Marketwire reports that 50 Cent terminated a tri-party agreement between G-Unit, Sleek Audio and TV Goods, a direct response marketing organization in which he owns shares.

The rapper/mogul then entered into an agreement with TV Goods via his new affiliate company SMS Audio, LLC, effectively cutting out Sleek Audio as the middle man.

“As an artist, I am committed to bringing top-of-the-line audio products to my fans,” Fiddy told XXL, “and I am excited that I have the resources to achieve just that with this new venture.”

TV Goods Chairman Kevin Harrington said the partnership could lead to more than a line of headphones.

"We love working with 50 and hope to expand our collaboration with him to other categories of products," Harrington said via statement. —Lauren Carter
