Rza Lands Role on Californication

Wu-Tang Clan leader and superproducer The RZA has landed a major recurring role on the fifth season of Showtime comedy Californication.

According to TVLine.com, the Staten Island rap pioneer will portray a character tentatively dubbed Apocalypse, “a slightly dangerous hip-hop mogul who Hank (David Duchovny) considers writing a movie for.”

RZA’s previous acting credits include American Gangster, Funny People and Repo Men. —Lauren Carter
