After the success of their Planet Rock special this past August (Planet Rock: The Story of Hip Hop and the Crack Generation), VH1’s Emmy Award-winning “Rock Docs” series will be premiering another special detailing the relationship between hip-hop and the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

The show titled, Uprising: Hip Hop and the L.A. Riots, will be told from the views of rappers, musicians, police officers and victims. Just like with Planet Rock it will also feature interviews with a long list of rappers including Too Short, Big Boi, KRS-One, Nas, Sir Jinx, DJ Yella, and more. Rodney King, Arsenio Hall and John Singleton will also chime in.
