“Daughters” has Nas rhyming about being a father and trying to raise a girl into a young lady through all the growing pains that she’s sure to endure. God’s Son wanted the video to reflect that, so he tabbed director Chris Robinson to shoot a touching clip. The renowned director delivered just that with a cameo from the inspiration of the song, Nas’ daughter, Destiny Jones, herself.

There was one problem, though. The original version of the video flashed September 14 for Destiny’s birthday, when in fact, that’s the date of birth for Nas himself. Upon catching the mistake, the video has been changed to reflect Destiny’s correct birth date, which is June 15.

“Sorry about the Bday mix up at the start of Daughters video, editor got it wrong,” Nas tweeted. “Destiny's Bday is June 15.”

TMZ reports that sources close to Destiny say that the father and daughter had a good laugh over the mixtape and that she is “head over heels in love with the video.”

The clip has generated an overwhelming positive response from fans and many of Nas’s peers as well.

“@Nas that’s a dope video for “Daughters”...#Salute,” Fabolous tweeted toward the legendary lyricist on Monday (June 4).

Nas is as candid as ever, rhyming on the track:

"This morning I got a call, nearly split my wig/This social network said, 'Nas go and get ya kid.'/ She's on Twitter, I know she ain't gon' post no pic/Of herself underdressed, no inappropriate shit, right/Her mother cried when she answered/Said she don't know what got inside this child's mind, she planted/A box of condoms on her dresser then she Instagrammed it/At this point I realized I ain't the strictest parent."—Jakinder Singh
