Florida hip-hop fans should plan on making a pilgrimage to Tampa this Fall. On Nov. 7, the inaugural History in Tampa Festival (H.I.T.) presented by WorldStarHipHop and Florida-based Vybe Nation will be co-headlined by Nas and Lil Wayne. The festival will also feature sets by August Alsina, Yo Gotti, DJ Khaled and friends, Fabolous, Waka Flocka Flame, Jim Jones, iLoveMakonnen, Troy Ave, and Tink. The lineup is noticeably devoid of Florida-bred rappers like Rick Ross, Plies, or Ace Hood, though Khaled's "friends" will likely include some of the bunch. The festival will go down at the USF Sun Dome.

In a statement announcing the Festival, WorldStarHipHop founder/CEO Lee “Q” O’Denat said, “We’ve been part of the culture for a decade, and it’s an honor to be able to continue that legacy with Vybe Nation. We are going to bring the house down.”

Nas was recently attached to the upcoming Justin Bieber album while Lil Wayne continues to make news for non-music reasons, contesting a leaked sex tape in recent weeks.

The H.I.T. Festival joins the Big Guava Festival as Tampa's premier music outings. This years Big Guava Festival featured sets by Action Bronson and Run the Jewels.
