Up-and-coming NYC rapper Sham Da God's 2015 murder looks like it is closer to being closed as authorities have charged the man they think shot the MC with the crime.

Last week, Shaquille Fuller, 22, was indicted for the cruel murder by a grand jury. Sham's death occurred at Lillian Wald Houses on Avenue D in New York City on Feb. 23, 2015, reports New York Daily News. Fuller's rap sheet includes four prior arrests including an attempted murder. Police also accused him of shooting a 19-year-old in the chest back in 2014 following an argument.

Police believe Shad Da God, born Shamrod Isaac, was killed in a similar manner. Sham was shot in the chest multiple times. Both men were shot at Wald Houses. Fuller was captured on video fleeing the scene of the crime and later identified. He was arrested three days later in New Jersey.

Fuller has since been in an out of custody in relation to both crimes. His lawyer, Robert Weinstein, said his client will be arraigned on the murder charge next week. Fuller has been described by a police source as a "fucking terror."

The East Village rapper was making a name for himself before his death with mixtapes like Progress From the Projects and Addiction Chronicles.

At the time he was killed, Sham was reportedly in talks with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group.
