The season finale of Love & Hip Hop: New York touched on many of the season's storylines and brought closure to all of the cast member's predicaments.

This episode begins on the morning of Remy Ma's wedding. The Bronx rapstress is upset that things are not going exactly as planned. To help finalize all of the details for the big day, Yandy sets Remy up with a wedding planner, who is instantly on shaky ground with the bride-to-be. The ice-skating rink that Remy had her heart set on hasn't arrived yet and the wedding planner says that it may be hazardous. This further puts her in the doghouse with Remy, but she remains focused on the tasks at hand.

Papoose, who is in great spirits, has rounded up his close friends for a celebration before the wedding. The rapper gets a surprise when the wedding planner drops off a special gift for him, which turns out to be the racy video Remy recorded as a tease prior to walking down the aisle. The only problem is that Remy's son is in the room and makes what was intended to be a private show to spice up the day and give him a reminder of what he will be looking forward to during the honeymoon.

As she continues to get ready for the wedding, Remy Ma meets up with her two sisters to discuss her younger sibling, Raymonique, bashing Remy on social media. Raymonique says that her harsh words stemmed Remy's incarceration taking a toll on her emotionally. Remy Ma reiterates that her absence was not by choice and that she cares for her sisters and their well being and the three make up and lay their family matters to rest.

Remy Ma is worried about the pastor being nowhere to be found and she sends Rah Ali to talk to Papoose and see what the delay is. After revealing his plan to have the pastor that married him and Remy during his incarceration repeat the deed, Papoose takes the opportunity to air his grievances with what he deemed as Rah's erratic and reckless actions while with Remy. He explains that his friction with Rah is only due to him looking out for Remy's best interest as a husband. Rah apologizes for putting Remy in jeopardy and claims that she only has the best intentions for her as well. The two settle their differences and share a laugh, marking the end of the subtle friction between the two.

Peter Gunz attends Papoose and Remy's wedding and the love in the air has him thinking of his marriage with Amina and his history of misdeeds. The creep squad catches up with Cardi B outside of the wedding and Cisco begins flirting with her, but she's having none of it and chooses to chide the fellas for their reputations as womanizers. Peter uses the moment to inform his Creep Squad brethren of his plans to get a vasectomy and that he's doing the best thing for himself and his family, which the crew supports wholeheartedly.

Amina shows up to the wedding at the behest of Peter to discuss the status of their relationship. Peter says that prior to his affair with Tara that they were making progress as a couple. She says that the good will has been lost and that she's not willing to put up with his mishaps anymore. Peter then breaks the news that he's getting a vasectomy, which angers Amina and makes her furious in light of Tara's pregnancy and the fact that she just got an abortion despite wanting to have more children with Peter. Amina, who is inconsolable in response to the revelation, says that she doesn't want to be with Peter anymore and storms away crying. This crushes Peter's plan of making amends.

While waiting for the moment of truth, Remy Ma decides to have a heart to heart talk with her son, who is walking her down the aisle and giving her away to Papoose. She apologizes for not being there for him during her incarceration and thanks him for being so supportive of her throughout the rough times. They share an emotional embrace that is sure to melt hearts at home.

The wedding ceremony commences and Papoose walks down the aisle in his tuxedo and awaits the arrival of his wife. Both of their bridesmaids and groomsmen make the walk down the aisle as well, including R&B singer Keyshia Cole, who happens to be a close friend of Remy. The bride then appears in her white gown and makes her way down the aisle to meet Papoose at the altar. The MC plans to bring back the pastor that originally married Papoose and Remy was a success, making the moment even more special. The pastor gives a few sage words on marriage before they exchange vows and say "I do."

Mendeeces and Yandy, who were also in attendance, step away from the festivities for a moment and he expresses his appreciation for her and her loyalty and strength given his legal troubles and looming incarceration. He asks Yandy for a dance and they begin canoodling while sharing their love for each other and swaying to the music.

Back at the wedding reception, Papooses brings up their deal that if he gave her a dream wedding that she would have a child with him. She promises to keep up her end of the bargain, much to his delight, as he immediately shares the news with their guests. With all of the planning and turmoil behind them, all parties are full of joy and glad to be witness to the love between Papoose and Remy, proving that love and hip-hop are not mutually exclusive and can coincide with the proper amount of faith, communication and love.

With season six of Love & Hip Hop a wrap, the cast members go over their lessons learned over the past year. Bianca, BBOD and Mariah Lynn all plan to continue pursuing their music careers, with Bianca being optimistic of her future as an artist, Sexxy Lexxy and Moe taking their management situation into their own hands and
Mariah saying she is focused on enjoying life with her mother and newborn sibling.

Cardi B says she is focused on building her music career as well, but has yet to make a decision on Tommy's request for marriage. Rah Ali may have lost a client in BBOD, but has taken Mariah under her wing and has launched her new clothing line. Peter Gunz says that he's moving forward with his vasectomy and has started a new business with Rich Dollaz and opened a restaurant, proving that the Creep Squad that stays together gets paid together.

Tara is focused on bringing a healthy child into the world and moving forward with life, while Amina is looking to her future and focusing on her music and picking up the pieces of her life. Yandy is basking in her daughter's 1st birthday and although she knows there will be trying days ahead, she is determined to hold down the fort and enjoy life with her family.
