Your Old Droog started off as a mystery. It's well documented how early blog buzz was that his EP was actually Nas incognito, his vocals pitched down so he could revisit his early-'90s style with less pressure. Fans were excited about that prospect, or even of the possibility that it was a batch of old, unreleased work. But it quickly became clear that Droog was his own person--white, in fact, and ready to delve back into Bill Clinton's first term for inspiration. His self-titled mixtape served as a breakthrough: comfort food without being too stodgy or conservative. And while that collection has been circulating on the Internet for some time now, those who were lucky enough to pick up a physical copy know that there's a bonus tacked on the end. Today (Oct. 7), it makes its way onto the net as "The Dustiest," the most self-effacing track title of 2015. It's an endlessly fun brass exercise that longs for Myspace and visits to the barber.
