Lil Yachty Pays Tribute to K-Pop Band Big Bang By Covering Their Songs
Lil Yachty is a big fan of South Korean K-Pop band Big Bang, arguably the biggest band in all of Asia. The 2016 XXL freshman pays tribute by spitting bars over a bunch of Big Bang instrumentals.
The collaboration project, aptly titled Big Band, features Yachty freestyling over songs including "Bae Bae," "Bad Boy," "Loser," "Lollipop" and "LaLaLa." Rocking a Jackie Robinson Dodgers jersey, gold chains and trademark red hair, Yachty displays his charisma by cracking jokes to cardboard cutouts of Big Bang's members - G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri.
Yachty comes correct on his verses. Around the 8:25 mark, he raps, "My bitch ride dick like a mufuckin' Bronco / 36 inches sittin' on that Tahoe / I could never work, nah, I can't have a job, no / I'm all about my cheddar like an entrée of nachos."
In other Lil Yachty-related news, the 18-year-old Atlanta artist recently dropped a collaboration with PartyNextDoor called "Buzzin" on OVO Sound Radio. The Murda Beatz-produced record is a loosie for now, but it could always end up on a project at some point.
In case you missed it, be sure to peep Yachty's video for "Broccoli" with D.R.A.M., in which they turn up in the wilderness over a flute-laced beat by J-Gramm, Rogét Chahayed and Karl Rubin. The record dropped back in April, and its popularity has been growing slowly but surely ever since.
