Nike and NBA Player Paul George Tease the PG1 Sneaker
Earlier today, NBA All-Star Paul George teased an image of his first ever signature sneaker with Nike. Now, the American sportswear brand has officially unveiled the Nike PG1 sneaker via the brand's website.
Keeping in mind George’s versatility on both sides of the court, the PG1 will feature a low top canvas with lightweight technology with a forefoot strap anchored by Flywire cable loops and a Zoom Air unit. Designed by Tony Hardman, George becomes the fourth active signature athlete to receive a signature sneaker from the Swoosh and the 21st basketball player to ever own one.
Check out the detailed images of the George will debut the highly anticipated shoe this Thursday, Jan. 12, when his Indiana Pacers take on the Denver Nuggets in London. While there’s still no official release date for the shoes, look for these to drop at some point in the spring with a retail price of $110.

With Nike already unveiling part of its 2017 line up of basketball sneakers, the Swoosh gives sneakerheads an unexpected surprise this morning, teasing an image of the very first Paul George silhouette under the Swoosh imprint. Giving followers a first glimpse of his Nike shoe via Instagram earlier today, George's preview photo of the Nike PG1 revealed the front upper of the shoe as well as George's PG Nike logo. With the image highlighting the heather grey construction of the shoe and its colorway, the photo also showcases the glowing circular lace lock featured on the shoe lace portion of the sneakers.
While the Nike PG1 has no official release date yet, look for George to give sneakerheads a full and detailed look of his first signature shoe with Nike within the days to come. For now, keep it locked with XXL for any developing info behind the release of the very first Paul George basketball sneaker.
