Jordan Brand Unveils the Air Jordan XXX

Today (Jan. 14), the Jordan Brand officially unveiled the thirtieth iteration of the most iconic basketball sneaker line from Adler Planetarium in Chicago. In an event, hosted by Ben Lyons, the revealing of the Air Jordan XXX featured guest appearances from coveted Nike designers Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith. The latest offering from the Air Jordan sneaker line, which began in April of 1985, will be full of new and innovative features suitable for indoor and outdoor play.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith this Air Jordan XXX features an exclusive mix of woven, knit and printed materials. With an “XXX” graphic wrapped around the entire canvas of the shoe, the print gives the sneaker a slick and fast look.Similar to the XI silhouette, the Jordan Brand incorporates a trademark smooth toe piece on the forefoot. Including the brand’s traction treatment, this new Air Jordan XXX silhouette offers a rendered 3D outsole. With a knit collar feature to help the heel stay in place, the asymmetrical top line of the Air Jordan XXX is reminiscent of the the classic Air Jordan XII.
