Last night (Aug. 4), XXL got an opportunity to get get advance screening of the highly anticipated movie, Sneakerheadz. Dedicated to the sneaker culture, director/producer/screenwriter, David T. Friendly and Mick Partridge do an amazing job of capturing the essence of a sneakerhead and the cultural influence of the lifestyle.

Opening in theaters in New York City and Los Angeles on Friday, Aug. 7, Sneakerheadz features some of the biggest sneaker curators from around the world as they describe their fascination and love for sneakers. Combining the worlds of hip-hop, sports and fashion, Friendly and Partidge showcase how all three categories bring together the sneaker community.

With a national release set to follow after the Aug. 7 release date, Sneakerheadz will so be available on Aug. 21 through Vimeo On Demand.
