Braun’s Battle of the Year recently took place November 19 at the Park & Suites Arena in Montpellier, France. The event included b-boys from 19 countries competing for Braun’s championship title for the best break dance crew around.
With a crowd of 12,000 plus, the French crew, Vagabonds, took home the crown for the first time in five years – the last being 2006. Using acrobatic flips and crazy choreography, the Vagabonds cleaned up the final round against USA’s Battle Born crew, who was beyond thankful to make it to the finals.
When congratulating the b-boy group for taking this year’s title, Thomas Hergenröther, the event organizer said, “We’re the biggest b-boy event in the world with b-boys from 19 countries taking part. It was an amazing night. The crews practiced hard to win a spot in the final[s] and there were some great battles. My congratulations to Vagabonds who are now officially the best crew in the world.”
