Freddie Gibbs is one of the top talents in the hip-hop today and continues to prove it with every piece of material that he releases. Gibbs' latest display of his prowess on the microphone comes via two tracks titled "Dead Presidents Freestyle" and "Hot Boys."

"Dead Presidents Freestyle" sees Gibbs rocking over the familiar sample of Lonnie Liston Smith's "A Garden of Peace" that fans now associated with Jay Z's classic single "Dead Presidents." Producer Sid "Speakerbomb" Miller utilizes the sample to make his own unique beat as Gibbs effortlessly flows over the production. The Indiana rapper drops some slick and timely rhymes too like, "Call him El Chapo cause he was trying to get on camera, chasing the fame n---a."

The second track, "Hot Boys," exhibits a much different vibe. The song boasts a hard knocking beat produced by League of Starz member Dupri as Gibbs flows at a frenetic pace. Gibbs lets the world know that he's a "hot boy like I grew up in the Nolia" on this track that is sure to have your trunk rattling.

These two records are a great way for Freddie Gibbs to kick off 2016 after closing out 2015 with his Shadow of a Doubt album. The project sort of flew under the radar, but is definitely worth your time if you haven't listen to it already. The 15 track project (with two bonus cuts) from Gibbs includes some notable collaborations with Black Thought, E-40 and Gucci Mane.
