Flatbush Zombies3001: A Laced Odyssey album shattered expectations when it landed at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Proving that building a fan base through solid music and touring instead of praying for a catchy single to get in radio rotation is an achievable route to success, the Zombies have been able to do things their own way.

In their latest clip for "Smoke Break / Fly Away," the Zombies offer a trippy, cinematic visual that fits right in line with their aesthetic. Following a young woman who is traveling through the woods, Meechy Darko, Jewice and Erick "The Architect" Elliott each puff on bud as she experiences her own altered state. Once the sun goes down, things get strange as Darko handles the rest of the video on the solo tip.

The trio have been heavily influenced by comic books and it shows in their visuals and album art. In an interview with XXMeechy tells us why they chose to make their cover art for 3001 a cartoon image.

"As a kid, I used to read comic books growing up, a lonely child in his little small-ass apartment, in his room reading comic books. I figured, 'What’s better than having a comic book cover?”' I see pictures of rappers on [album] covers and it can be very boring," he said. "I already know how this person looks. I already know Michael Jackson’s face. It would be better if they painted him or made him a statue rather than just us getting in front of a camera and shit, showing my gold teeth. It’s kind of boring. You can get more done. [Our] cover has a building blowing up. It has the Statue of Liberty with a gun in her hand. We can’t do that in real life. You get to really stretch your imagination when you have drawings and paintings, and shit."
