Hailing from St. Louis, this model came to my attention because she was reposted onto my Instagram timeline. But she's not just an Instagram model, she's the face of both Akademiks and Apple Bottoms, walked the runway for Rocawear, and has been featured in Blackmen's Magazine, The Dynasty Series, and GGurls. When she's not busy being beautiful, she's an accomplished makeup artist. –Bernadette Giacomazzo (@berngiacomazzo)

You've been both a runway and fashion model, as well as a video vixen. What would you say is the biggest difference between the two worlds? Which do you prefer doing? Why?

The biggest difference between being a fashion model and video vixen is that you have to be so serious on the runway and sensual and sexy as video vixen. I've been on various videos where that was all that was required of me. It's fun and still a lot of hard work in both fields of modeling. It's what I live for.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In 5 years I plan to be the owner of my own makeup/spa salon for women. I previously mentioned being a makeup artist and I believe this will be my contribution back to women. I've been doing makeup since I was 19 and developed such a love for it that this business will benefit greatly to hard working women like me. I'm currently in my second year of college, studying for 2 Bachelor degrees in Business Marketing & Accounting, and TV Journalism. I definitely plan to stay in the entertainment business but just become more nationwide as a journalist and entrepreneur.

What would you say is the biggest misconception people have of urban models? What are you doing to change that misconception?

The biggest misconception would definitely have to be that we have no brains and all we show is our butt. I do hate how people can just label a woman all because of a picture. We have many reasons for why we do what we do, and it's not up for people to judge so negatively. I'm here to show that we are very multi-faceted and not at all the airheads that I've heard people name us.

Who is your celebrity crush, and why?

I have many but if I had to choose, it'll definitely have to be Trey Songz. We worked together before and it was a great experience. I just admire and respect where he is in his career now. I wish him much more rising success and hope to one day meet him again.

What does a man have to do to win your heart?

Be yourself. It's not that hard to please me. I'm very down to earth, loving, passionate, and just a lover of life and the passions in it. I need someone on that same level or above!

If you could give one piece of advice to an aspiring model in this industry, what would it be, and why?

Don't come into this game naïve. They will eat you alive if you're not smart to stay above the bull. I had to learn the hard way after winning BLACKMENS Magazine hometown swimsuit contest in 2007. I thought I knew it all and had to pretty much start over! But now I'm here thanks to XXL magazine! I love you all and I hope to achieve even more greatness!
