Eric Bellinger Inspires Fans to “Be the Change” in New Video

With all that is happening around the country right now, between white supremacist rallies at Confederate statues, violence being brought to counter-protest groups, and members of Donald Trump's cabinet consistently dropping off, music seems to be an escape for many. Eric Bellinger is providing us with some insightful tunes this week, releasing the music video for his inspiring "Be the Change" record.

The record title is a tribute to the late Nelson Mandela, with Bellinger telling fans and listeners to be the change that they wish to see in the world. The video, which was directed by Cam Fairfax, sees the Eric B. For President vocalist standing out on the sidewalk, singing for people on the streets alongside a guitarist who backs up his voice.

In a new statement, the singer also reveals some of the inspiration behind the song and putting the video together.

"I felt I needed to share something given everything that has been going on in Charlottesville," Bellinger says. "Nelson Mandela's words are more relevant now than ever... Be the change!"

"Be The Change" comes off of the singer's Cannabliss EP, which featured five new tracks from the songwriter. Bellinger is joining other artists who are speaking out against the negativity, such as Future, who recently cancelled shows in Virginia in the wake of the Charlottesville events.
