DMX Threatens Jail Officers, Lands In Lockdown
It appeared that DMX had finally turned a corner from the looks of a heartfelt jailhouse interview with local Phoenix news network KSAZ a few weeks ago. Now the embattled rapper finds himself on 23-hour-a-day lockdown after a verbal spat with Maricopa County detention officers.
The Arizona Republic reports that on Sunday (Feb. 8) X did not show up for work and later in the day, failed to appear on time to receive medication from the jailhouse staff. The Yonkers rapper then erupted with a profanity-laced outburst in which he threatened to assault the officers who refused to serve him, thus prompting the sheriff to order X to lockdown.
Set to spend the next month in solitary confinement, DMX is currently serving a 90-day sentence for drug, theft and animal cruelty charges. - Devin Chanda
