With cold weather plaguing New York, Dave East has his eyes set on the summer in his latest freestyle over Drake's "Summer Sixteen." With no hook, East recounts days of holding his palm closed under a street light while battling off fiends and sub-zero temperatures to present day shopping sprees at Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales. As New York City's next great hope, the Uptown MC isn't short on bars on his latest freestyle and hints that his next project will be out in summer '16. Once that's out, maybe he'll finally be able to put the baking soda and pots down.

Drake once again shook up the landscape when he dropped "Summer Sixteen" during an episode of his popular Beats 1 Radio show "OVO Radio." Over production by frequent collaborators Noah "40" Shebib, Bo1-1da and CuBeatz, Drizzy talks greasy, going as far as taking a shot at Preisdent Obama after he chose Kendrick Lamar over Drake in a hypothetical rap battle.

"Tell Obama that my verses are like the whips that he in / They bulletproof," rapped the Toronto native.

Last year, Drizzy dropped If You're Reading This It's Too Late as a surprise during NBA All-Star Weekend. This year's edition of the festivities takes place in the rapper's hometown and the rapper may have something up his sleeve once again. As the city prepares for the influx of NBA players, media and groupies, billboards for his highly-anticipated Views From the 6 are starting to pop up all over town. Don't expect Drake to go out quietly with the hip-hop and basketball worlds focused on Toronto through the rest of the week.
