We may be witnessing the beginnings of a new trend in hip-hop.

Just days after the release of Jay-Z’s Decoded, it was announced that Common will be putting out a memoir of his own next year.

Atria Books announced that they will be releasing the effort, which will share the name with Com’s third album, 1997’s One Day It’ll All Make Sense. The book, which will cover much of Common’s life and career—from his upbringing on the South Side of Chicago to his lengthy music career and more recent forays into acting—will be co-written by Adam Bradley, the author of 2009’s Book of Rhymes: The Poetics of Hip-Hop.

One Day It’ll All Make Sense is currently scheduled for a June 2011 release.
