During an interview with radio personality Funmaster Flex last week, Busta Rhymes confirmed that he signed to Cash Money. Now, the powerhouse label's head, Brian "Birdman" Williams, explains the move and his hopes for the newest YMCMB member.

"Whatever they bring to the table, whatever their vision is, [my role is] just to back it up and let them be the artist that they want to be and we support what they want to do," Birdman told MTV News. "We never was [the type] to try to tell no [artist] how to do music, that's not what we're about. We like to let an artist be an artist and we support what they want to do."

Busa Buss is no stranger to collaborating with Cash Money artists, as he's worked and currently working with everyone from Birdman to Lil Wayne. "It's just amazing to see that they understood what Busta Rhymes means to the music, what Busta Rhymes means to the culture, what Busta Rhymes means to the embodiment of authentic hip-hop," the quick-tongued Brooklyn native told MTV News.

Busta also linked with Google Music, a partnership which he recently explained to XXL. "It’s displaying a new way of releasing music," he said. "It’s gonna be a grand, festive moment for hip-hop overall. It’s show people how greatly we can look forward to the growth of doing this shit the way it’s supposed to be. I couldn’t be more grateful for a better time in my career and evolution process at this point."
