Adidas is known to go back into their archives from time to time and in a rare addition to adidas Originals’ historic City Series, the brand with the three-stripes transforms the popular Gazelle silhouette into a tribute to two of Russia’s greatest cities this season for the Gazelle GTX City Pack– Moskva and St. Petersburg.

Using every element of the terrace classic’s design as a canvas to pay tribute, each of the two shoe’s colorways make reference to their namesake. The Moskva silhouette will features a white full-grain leather upper that pays homage to the original color of the Kremlin walls, while contrast red overlays bring the city’s iconic color to the fore. The St. Petersburg takes a darker seasonal turn in premium black nubuck, offset by collegiate royal three-stripes that references the city’s river, coat of arms and historic football legacy. Encapsulating the release’s celebratory nature, the classic Gazelle foil lettering on the left shoe is changed to Cyrillic / Russian text, while the right shoe states the city name. A final touch, full Gore-Tex construction, complements the release with a seasonal materialization that befits the colder climates of two iconic Russian cities.

The global release of the adidas Originals Gazelle GTX "City Pack" is set for Saturday, Oct. 7, and each shoe will retail for suggested price of $110.
