A handful of rappers have seen their albums debut atop the Billboard charts in 2015, but Wale is the only one who carried a giant title belt to all his interviews. At least that's what ESPN employees saw when they, expecting a normal press run, instead caught the Maybach Music Group artist waltzing down the halls with a gold-plated wrestling prize. The DMV star had finally dropped his long-awaited The Album About Nothing at the end of March, complete with interludes from Jerry Seinfeld. (They're real, and they're spectacular.) Now, the rapper turns his attention to heavy hitters from a lane more similar to his own. Today (Oct. 2), DJ Money unveils Wale's "Finna Get Loose" freestyle, where he tries his hand at Diddy's Pharrell-helmed lead single. It's a bold move, but as they say: to be the champ, you have to beat the champ.
