Method Man and Redman will be giving back to local Staten Island families next month by providing kids in the area with free haircuts.

On Saturday, April 11, one day before Easter Sunday, Shaolin's Against Da’ Grain barbershop will offer free cuts to customers under the age of 12 from the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. In addition to sponsoring the event, Meth & Red will also be on hand to speak with the kids, along with other S.I. artists.

"We have wonderfully loyal customers and felt this was just another way of rewarding them during these unusually hard economic times," Tariq, a barber at the shop said in a statement.  "A single mother of three boys spends a weekly average of $33.00 on their hair cuts making it difficult to keep her kids hair freshly trimmed. With Easter Sunday the following day, we felt it was the perfect time to team up with our celebrity friends and create a unique solution based on old traditional values while helping our community."

In related news a new track, "A Yo," by Meth and Red recently leaked on the net. It is uncertain where the song will appear, but XXLMag.com has learned that the duo are currently working on a new disc. The album - which follows up the 1999's Blackout! - is set for release on April 28th on Def Jam Recordings. – Devin Chanda
