2 Chainz Unleashes “Birthday Song” Featuring Kanye West

Last night, 2 Chainz touched his hometown of Atlanta, opening up for the Nicki Minaj tour. He shot a video until 8am and this afternoon before heading out to Miami, he and Def Jam shipped out a brand new track for the fans to celebrate to, "Birthday Song."

The record features Kanye West and Chainz revealed during a Def Jam conference call, it came after spending 12 straight hours in the with Ye "Combining his world and my world until we got the perfect world."

The leader of the T.R.U. School says the concept of the record is irrefutable because "Who doesn't enjoy their birthday?"

"It feels good and sounds even better," Chainz told. "It's another continuation of what I did with 'Riot,' 'Spend It,' 'No Lie.' Club energy, that feel good energy... For the most part its a collaboration with me and Kanye. Best of both worlds,  capture that stadium type of feel as well as the young nigga vibe."

"Birthday Song" was produced by Sonny Digital and Kanye West. It is the second single off of Chainz's debut solo LP, Based on a T.R.U. Story, due August 14.

Besides Drake, who is featured on the lead cut "No Lie," Kanye, Nicki Minaj is also collaborating for the project. Mike Will, Sonny Digital and Drumma Boy are among the producers on the album.
