One thing is clear about Young Thug's career. It is currently on the incline off the strength of radio hits "Stoner" and "Danny Glover." Where things get fuzzy is determining exactly what label he will spend the first part of his career on. Initially thought to be a 1017 Bricksquad signee, YT was later linked to Future's Freebandz imprint then confirmed and was denied claims of joining Cash Money's roster. Fader recently caught up with Thug at the SXSW Festival and when asked about his label status, Thugga replied, "Rich Gang to the death," referring to Birdman's Cash Money stable. "Big shout out to Guwop. He was a big help to my career. But, I'm with Rich Gang and that's how we gone turn it up...[Birdman] is like a real father figure."

The "Stoner" rapper also briefly spoke on his February arrest where he was charged in Atlanta with possession of a controlled substance, driving without seat belt, reckless conduct and reckless driving. "I turned at the light and the next thing you know 50 cops was behind me saying I...donuts or some shit. My rims like $7,500 a rim. Why would I hit donuts?"
