Brooklyn based production team, The Kickdrums, released Follow The Leaders Tuesday (April 3), a genre-fusing project, which features prominent up and comer guest spots from the likes of Casey Veggies, Rockie Fresh, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, and Freddie Gibbs. But undoubtedly the project’s most anticipated track, “Ridin,” a collaboration between A$AP Rocky and Lana Del Rey was missing. On Monday (April 2), a teaser for the track hit the internet, apparently creating enough of an industry firestorm to postpone the song’s release.

Shortly after the mixtape was released, The KickDrums took to Twitter to acknowledge the glaring omission, revealing that A$AP has plans to include the record on his upcoming studio debut, LongLiveA$AP.

“Had to pull the Lana – A$AP track due to label reasons. Song got too big too fast. Gonna explain in more detail in an interview today,” the duo tweeted. They followed up shortly after with, “A$AP wants the track for his album. Its as much his and lana’s music as it is ours so we have to respect that.”

When XXLMag.com contacted A$AP's camp, however, a rep for the Harlem MC couldn't confirm whether or not "Ridin" will land up on LongLiveA$AP, as the LP is still being recorded.

A$AP Rocky is coming off a controversial SXSW appearance which saw him and his A$AP Mob collective engage in a brawl at their Vice Kills performance. After a can of beer was thrown on stage, hitting the rapper, Rocky appeared to be attempt to diffuse the hostile situation. But when the projectiles continued, the Harlem native and his entourage’s patience  soon wore thin, eventually jumping into the crowd to fight with so called “fans.”
