Earlier this month XXLMag.com told readers about Freddie Gibbs’s forthcoming mixtape, Str8 Killa No Filla, but that’s not the only project the Freshman MC has up his sleeve.

We recently caught up with the Gary, Indiana talent at SXSW, where he spoke on his upcoming EP with producer The Alchemist. According to Gangsta Gibbs, the project, titled The Devil’s Palace, will be entirely produced by ALC and is expected to be in stores around “back-to-school” time.

“It’s just a no-brainer,” Gibbs said of linking up with Al. “We’ve worked together before and he’s one of my favorite producers. I just wanna show people what I could do to his beats for a whole project and keep them entertained. We definitely selling that one.”

Until then, look for Freddie to grace the stage at XXL's Freshman ’10 Live concert on March 31, along with fellow classmates Nipsey Hussle, Pill, Jay Rock, Donnis and Big Sean. [Cop tickets here] —Devin Chanda
