There's no bad-blood between Wale and former Maybach Music Group affiliate Pill, the latter who claimed to never have been officially signed to MMG despite his presumed signee status. In fact, the "Lotus Flower Bomb" rapper says he still supports Pill regardless of his decision to disconnect from the team.

“Personal is personal," Wale told MTV News recently. "Business is business. I'm friends with people that I've fired, so I've been in the game long enough to understand [you have to] separate the two. So, shout out to Pill and what he’s doing. We still supporting what he doing. It just didn’t work out on the business side... I believe in Pill, and I’m sure Rozay believes in Pill. And, we wish him the best."

Despite rocking an MMG chain many times, being on the cover of the October 2011 issue of XXL alongside Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill, and being a part of the group’s compilation album, Self Made, Vol. 1, Pill recently announced he never signed a contract with Maybach.

“I never signed any paperwork with Ross,” Pill explained. “It was just my deal was over at Warner already.”

Similarly to Wale, P-I-Double-L has no animosity towards MMG. “I ain’t got nothing against none of them, nobody,” he assured. “It’s just the situation don’t work… It’s cool with us, I don’t got nothing against Ross either. It’s just I don’t talk to him.

“I ain’t really got too much to say to somebody that ain’t got too much to say to me,” he continued. “I’m not a brownnose, I ain’t a punk ass nigga and I’m not finna go trying to chase behind somebody that ain’t sayin’ nothing to me.” —Christopher Minaya
