Putting her money where her mouth is, 16-year-old Kierra Luv made a name for herself on social media by bodying freestyles to the beats belonging to records from Moneybagg Yo, the Lox’s classic “Money, Power, Respect” and Cardi B’s “Money” and "Bodak Yellow." The Harrisburg, Pa. rapper's attempt at Cardi’s hit was a success and it garnered a cosign from the Grammy Award winner, who reposted Kierra's rendition on her Instagram page. Prior to Kierra releasing her new single, “Put You On,” the 10k Projects signee came through to the XXL office prepared to showcase what she's capable of in the rap game. Check out her What I Do freestyle to see for yourself.

Equipped with a positive outlook on things, Luv is determined to win. “Everybody tells their stories, cool, they ran through some tissues,” she spits. “Please understand you ain’t the only one with them issues/Everybody hella angry, gotta watch all my energy/Watched my mama get beat and that’s what messed with me mentally/You see the devil on her shoulder, telling her to get closer/I gotta kill him now because I’ll be damned if he control her.”

Already respected as a lyricist, Kierra Luv wants to prove to listeners that there’s more to her than meets the eye. “Besides music and showing off my artistry, I want to show people what I can do with art and fashion,” she says. “I want to open multiple types of businesses.”

Now that the spotlight is on her, she plans to keep the content coming. “I feel like I still have a lot more to give to them," Kierra reveals, referring to her supporters. "I feel like I’m not giving them enough.”
