Before the 2019 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting will launch on March 25, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2019 XXL Freshman cover.

In a matter of a couple of years, Q Money has become one of the leaders of the new Midwest wave. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Q’s ascension started in 2016, following the release of his track, “First Song Back.” The 23-year-old rapper’s next big single, “Work,” which appeared on his March 2018 debut, Neva Had Shit, proved to be a breakout hit for the rapper, tallying over 2 million streams via his SoundCloud page. He also added collabs with Moneybagg Yo, YFN Lucci and Cuban Doll to his resume.

Next came a deal with Atlanta-based indie label Thinks It’s a Game through Warner Bros. The energetic trap rapper debuted the banger “Neat” last August and, shortly after, put out the new project, Ain’t Shit Funny. The video for the song boasts over 5 million views on YouTube and spawned a remix with Young Dolph, Peewee Longway, G Herbo, YFN Lucci and Flipp Dinero.

Now that you've heard his pitch, remember to vote for your favorite artist beginning March 25. The 2019 XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
