Before the 2019 XXL Freshman Class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th spot voting has officially launched, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2019 XXL Freshman cover.

Prior to her music popping off, Abby Jasmine had a loyal following. It all started on Vine. The 20-year-old Staten Island, N.Y native first gained the attention of the masses in 2016, via short rap freestyle, comedy and parody videos on the social networking app. Her buzz eventually caught the attention of Cinematic Music Group head Jonny Shipes, who reached out to the multi-talented performer and signed her to his label in the summer of 2017.

With a solid backing, Abby has added more steam to her campaign with tracks like “Long Live,” a freestyle over OVO rapper Baka Not Nice’s “Live Up to My Name,” “Bless Yo Trap” and “Message.” After spending the front end of 2018 touring with the likes of Rico Nasty, Abby released her debut EP, Trap Mom, in October 2018, a refreshing mixture of trap, pop and R&B vibes that feature the single “No Hook.” Later this month, you can catch her opening up for T-Pain’s 1Up Tour as she preps her new project, Abnormal.

Now that you've heard her pitch, it's time to vote. The 2019 XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class.
