Is Kung Fu Kenny dropping a new album this year? We have no way of knowing for sure, but his Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate, Isaiah Rashad, recently made a claim that makes it appear that Kendrick Lamar could very well have a new LP on the way.

During Top Dawg CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffifth's recent Instagram Live session, Rashad speaks about some of TDE's forthcoming new projects before touching on a new effort from K. Dot.

"[ScHoolboy] Q finna drop. SZA’s hair is green, so you know it’s going to be fire. You never know what’s going to happen," Rashad says during the session. From there, he claims that Top Dawg had "just played me a whole Dot album, damn near." Sounds like K. Dot's been in the lab, folks.

Rashad's claim comes about a month after Top Dawg said ScHoolboy Q's new album, which would be his first since 2016's Blank Face LP, is "90 to 95 percent" done. There's no telling when, exactly, that project will drop, but if its that close to being done, we could be hearing it pretty soon.

Even more unclear, obviously, is a release date for a new K. Dot album, or whether he's even been working on a new LP at all. We'll just have to wait and see.
