Fans hoping for Trippie Redd's debut album to drop this month will have to wait just a bit longer.

In a video the 2018 XXL Freshman posted to his Instagram story recently, Trippie reveals that his forthcoming LP, which is titled Life's a Trip, has been pushed back from its original July release date. "Album got pushed back," he says in the video. "August here we come."

Trippie doesn't offer any explanation for the delay, but he did unload two brand-new songs around the time he made this announcement. One of them is titled "Black Magic," while the other is titled "Bilap" and features Chief Keef. Both of the songs slap.

Trippie’s album doesn't have a definitive release date, but it feels safe to say that it will be a pretty big deal when the project drops. Coming off being named a 2018 XXL Freshman, Trippie appears set to make another big leap in the near future. Speaking with XXL at this year's Freshman shoot, Trippie touched on the genres that helped mold his own unique sound.

"I really just blend like rock, R&B and rap together to create a sub-genre, but it's very versatile," Trippie explained. "I do very versatile music." Word.
