Drake celebrated his song "In My Feelings" hitting No. 1 on Monday (July 16) the only way that is appropriate: partying with Shiggy, the Instagram comedian who sparked the track's inescapable dance challenge.

As captured on Shiggy's Instagram story, the pair ran into each other at a party in Los Angeles. With the 6 God leaning on his shoulder, Shiggy jokes, "I ran into the nigga that owe me a check! Look at that shit."

Drake documented the historic moment on his own Instagram, too. In the clip, Shiggy does a rendition of his viral jig while "In My Feelings" plays in the background. "Oh my goodness," Drizzy says. "Man got me a No. 1 record today."

He's not exaggerating. The song in question unseated Drake's own "Nice For What" atop this week's Billboard Hot 100 chart, boosted by countless fans posting videos on social media of themselves dancing to the track in the style of Shiggy's original clip.

Shiggy and Drake also celebrated the moment they met with a photo on Instagram. "Life Is Amazing It Is What It Should Be. 🙏 @champagnepapi ⭐️ #DoTheShiggy," Shiggy wrote as the caption of a photo featuring himself and Drizzy.

"Met the legend on the night we went number one. ✅🙏🏽🙌🏽 @theshiggyshow," Drake posted on his account with the same image.

Stars ranging from Will Smith to G Herbo have joined the fun, and Drake himself performed the choreography at the 2018 Wireless Festival in London, so it's only appropriate that the man pay tribute (and maybe some cash?) to the originator.

"In My Feelings" was the third single from Drake's record-breaking album Scorpion to hit No. 1, following "God's Plan" and "Nice For What." It's the Toronto rapper's sixth chart-topping topping single.
