Following vigils and tributes from his fans and the hip-hop community, XXXTentacion's father, Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, is the latest person close to X to speak about the rapper's murder.

In a video posted online June 21, the elder Onfroy thanks fans for their prayers and well wishes, and adds that while he mourns X's death, he is preparing to celebrate his son's life. "I will mourn my child from Monday to Monday—seven days," he said. "And after seven days, I will forever celebrate my child's life. All he accomplished. Everything and everyone he touched. I thank you all for your prayers and well wishes."

The 20-year-old rapper was shot and killed on June 18 in Deerfield Beach, Fla., shortly after 4 p.m. as he left RIVA Motorsports. According to police, two armed suspects approached X and at least one of the men opened fire, hitting the rapper.

On Wednesday (June 20), police made their first arrest in the case—22-year-old Dedrick D. Williams of Pompano Beach, Fla. Williams was taken into custody on Wednesday evening and charged with first-degree murder, probation violation for theft of a car motor vehicle and driving without a valid license.

It appears the suspect is being held without bail for the murder and probation violation charges. Police are reportedly looking for two more suspects, according to TMZ.
