Lil Pump Admits He and J. Cole Are on Good Terms
Speaking with Billboard at the red carpet at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, Pump was asked about his feud with the North Carolina MC. The "Esskeetit" artist played it coy at first, saying he wasn't really sure about what's going on between him and Cole. Pump then joked that he and Cole are "going through some shit" but eventually said the two are on good terms. "Nah we not, we in good terms," he continued.
After appearing to take a shot at Cole in April, saying, "Wow, you get so much props. You dissed a 17-year-old," Pump has taken the alleged diss in stride. On April 24, Pump thanked Cole on Instagram for the clout, telling the MC, "Cole, thank you for all the clout. Appreciate it."
The Miami rapper also danced along to the song during his appearance at the 2018 Rolling Loud Festival on May 11. Pump bopped along to an a cappella portion of the track, moving around with a cup in his hand.
While Cole has never admitted to "1985" being a Lil Pump diss, the rapper did put an end to a "Fuck Lil Pump" chant during his performance at the 2018 JMBLYA festival. The rapper quickly told the crowd, "Don't do that." And when the audience tried to start another chant against 6ix9ine, Cole also shut it down, saying, "Don't say that."
