Lil Uzi Vert has just gotten another dose of just the sort of national exposure he deserves. On Monday night (Feb. 5), the former XXL Freshman stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to turn in a performance of his Luv Is Rage 2 hit, "The Way Life Goes."

Performing under the glow of red stage lights, Uzi lets loose his song about picking up the pieces in the aftermath of a traumatic break-up.

"I know it hurts sometimes but you'll get over it/You'll find another life to live/I swear that you'll get over it/I know you're sad and tired/You've got nothing left to give/You'll find another life to live/I know that you'll get over it," he croons to The Late Show audience.

"The Way Life Goes" is one of the best songs on Luv Is Rage 2, and in December, Uzi dropped off a video for a remix that includes Nicki Minaj. Minaj isn't the only living rap legend Uzi's mingled with either.

On Jan. 12, Uzi went shopping with Kanye West. Speaking on the experience, Uzi told the folks at MTV he learned the importance of keeping the family as fly as possible. After all, that's what Kanye does.

"He's never thinking about himself," Uzi said of Yeezy's shopping habits. "It's weird. He was grabbing everything for his family. He said, 'I don't even get dressed anymore, I swag out my family.'"
