Vince Staples claimed he was trolling when he said his electronic-infused Big Fish Theory album would represent Afrofuturism, but it looks like he inadvertently spoke that bit into existence. On Monday (Oct. 16), the folks at Marvel Studios unveiled their latest Black Panther trailer, and guess what—it features some music from Staples' latest project.

The trailer, which focuses on both the titular Black Panther and his nemesis, features pieces of Staples' very futuristic-sounding Big Fish Theory single "BagBak." The instrumental plays throughout the middle portion of the trailer as fights explode and the backdrop of Black Panther, which could be seen as Afrofuturist, unfolds. It feels like a perfect match.

Black Panther will chronicle the exploits of T'Challa as he attempts to maintain his reign as the King of Wakanda. T'Challa first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is Marvel Studios' film universe shared by The Avengers, Spider-Man and more, in 2016's Captain America: Civil War. Blessed with enhanced strength, speed and reflexes, we got to see him put in work in that film, but based on this trailer, that was really just the tip of the iceberg. The movie should be dope.

Watch the action-packed new Black Panther trailer for yourself below, and as an added bonus, revisit the dope experience that is Big Fish Theory. Black Panther hits theaters on Feb. 16, 2018. Check out Vince Staples' "Rubbin Off the Paint" freestyle when you're done with that.
