Gearing up for the release of his upcoming album, Pure Beauty, New York rapper Shirt is back with a new song called "Palace Intrigue."

On the track, produced by Joe Hov and Steel Tipped Dove, Shirt raps, "Feel like the industry blackballed me but it's just the weed/Who knew you could be out in Switzerland with sour d." The record will be featured on Shirt's new LP, which is set to drop at the end of September.

Pure Beauty will be the rapper's first full-length album since the release of his Rap Money EP in 2015, via Chicago's Closed Sessions and Nike Adidas Records. Since dropping his EP, the artist has only put out a few singles but is ready to get back in the rap game.

According to Shirt, Pure Beauty serves as an ode to the famous works of conceptual artist John Baldessari. After reaching out to Baldessari and telling him his story, the two eventually met. Shirt called the meeting a dream come true and cited the artist as an inspiration to his work.

Formerly known as T-Shirt, the rapper broke onto the scene in 2012, with songs such as "24 Frames," "Ode to Raekwon" and "For the Record." In an interview with XXLShirt said his goal in hip-hop was to "break the internet" and "push the genre forward." He added, "Stand in the forefront, create conversation, verbally smack deserving motherfuckers, win Grammys, introduce you to new producers, inspire."

Shirt is currently previewing Pure Beauty at listening sessions across the country before he heads back abroad, where he’s pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree as a rapper and visual artist.
