Wale is busy promoting his newly-released Shine album, but he's making sure he takes time out to get up, close and personal with his younger fans. The "LoveHate Thing" rapper visited Suitland High School in Maryland this week, where he surprised hundreds of students with a special performance in their auditorium. Watch the clip below.

The Washington D.C. native took the stage to perform his hit single, "My PYT," which has been a standout favorite featured on the new album. Backed by a small live band, with plenty of help getting the crowd excited on stage next to him, Wale performs as the students show nothing but major enthusiasm for the stellar performance. The audience sings back the words to the song's catchy hook, which samples the original "PYT" record by Michael Jackson.

One user captured the experience at the school on Twitter, remarking on Wale's happiness throughout the performance. "When @Wale was leaving the stage at Suitland after performing, he was laughing and smiling so hard. I've never seen him that happy," they wrote.

Following his performance, Wale greeted tons of fans with handshakes and smiles, and made sure to hand out tons of copies of his Shine album to the audience. There was no way he was going to let any fan leave the auditorium without the chance to hear the project in full to get the rest of the experience.
