Major Lazer has finally released the highly-anticipated visuals for their "Run Up" record that features both Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR. The OVO vocalist is the main focus of the video, while he catches the attention of a cute girl at a house party featuring the Caribbean-infused uptempo track.

While the attendees of the party stay focused on their phones, the visuals are meant to reflect this generation's obsession with selfies and social media. Most of the guests and dancers are either on FaceTime with other partygoers, or posting videos to their Instagram or Snapchat stories for their friends to watch. Later on for Nicki's verse, the Queens MC can be seen getting up from her makeup vanity to show off some of her twerking skills while recording a live selfie video.

Paul, Luc, and Martin, the creative collective of French star Stromae and his Mosaert label directed the visuals for the Major Lazer hit. While speaking on the making of the video, the directors said in a statement, “The idea was to laugh at ourselves and at the unconditional love we bear to our smartphones. Humor and absurdity came naturally in our speech because our will was not to accuse someone or something but just exaggerate it to foster reflection.” Watch the video for "Run Up" below.
