On Halloween, Wyclef dropped his Young Thug-assisted banger, "I Swear." Today (Dec. 8), the 47-year-old singer delivers the accompanying music video.

You can view the Kid Art-directed clip above via YouTube. At the start of the five-and-a-half minute clip, Wyclef receives a call from someone named "Sweetest Girl" (a nod to the 2007 banger of the same name). The viewer finds out that Wyclef is a secret agent, and his mission is to rescue Young Thug's fiancée, Jerrika Karlae, from an assassin who tries to poison her drink. At times, the visual cuts to Wyclef and Thugger rocking out in the middle of a sandstorm, giving off some Mad Max vibes.

Wyclef spoke with Billboard about the collaboration. “Thugger was working on a mixtape and he named one of his songs after me. He also featured me on the mixtape on a song called 'Kanye West.' The vibes were so strong after he played me some more material and I could feel his pure songwriter style," Jean tells the publication. "I understood how talented this young man is and I felt 'I Swear' would be a great way for us to do something different, something fresh and new. We mixed 1997 with 2017. I call it 'over turn' - that's when the 'turn up' is on overdrive."

Thugger Thugger also tells Billboard about the "I Swear" collaboration. "My experience on the 'I Swear' video was crazy with the sandstorm and the ledge, and Wyclef teaching me how to play guitar," Thug says. "The whole thing was very, very good for my first time - it was the best time of my life."

Wyclef plans to drop his Carnival III: The Road to Clefication album in 2017 to celebrate his Carnival debut's 20th anniversary.
